What were those little 2 cm tall collectible toys called?

I remember in the 90′s there were these collectable 2 cm tall figures. they came in many colors and had lots og expresions. There shiny ones, glow in the dark ones and normal ones with differnt colors. Where they called pogels, could someone please tell me the name of them and possibly and link to a picture of them.

I have the capability to pump any liquid into the exhaust of my model airplane. There fore, I thought to inject diesel, but the smoke was not thick and I wanted to color the smoke as well. Do you think food coloring would do it?
