Robot toys that was released in the late 1970′s
They resemble C3PO and R2D2, but they were’nt. The C3PO lookalike was about 10 inches high, it had a silver body like C3PO, but the head was a green alien. The R2D2 (if I remember correctly) was black and I think it had robot arms. I don’t remember what they were called other then maybe Galaxy Wars.
They were not the Micronuts action figures.
I do remember that at the time I saw them on the toy store shelf they also had the first Alien action figure that was also about 10 inches high from the movie Alien.
I know I saw them cause I bugged my parents for a while to buy it for me, but they never did.
I’ve gone to book stores to find it in the toy collectables books, but its not listed. then again I dont remember what the toys were called. I have gone online and I’ll find other toys in the era but not these.
They were clearly Star Wars Knockoffs, and that may be the reason they dont exist at all.
Does anyone know what they were called, remembers them, or were I could find them?
Transfer Personal Collectibles into Business Inventory
Filed under: Collectible Bottles, Collectible cars, antique toys, collectible cards, collectible figurines, collectible glass, collectible plates, collectible pottery, gift and collectible
I want to start a small business / website selling old toys and other collectibles. Many of these initial items would come from my personal collection. How do I handle converting an item I’ve owned for 20 years into business inventory? My concern is that I don’t remember what I paid for most of these items, so how do I determine costs versus profits when tax time rolls around?

Die cast cars began as scaled down models of various types’ vehicles and are constructed of plastic and metal parts. In 1968 Matchbox Toys introduced these cars into their United States market and the phenomenon blossomed. Many well known companies chose the cars as marketing tools and in the nineteen fifties these miniature models were highly sought after for their collectible appeal. The Joy of Collectible Glass Figurines
Executive Summary about collectible glass by Wendy Pan
Everybody collects something. Collectible glass figurines are big slice of the market in collectible items. Everybody collects something, whether it be those collectible glass figurines, football game programs, souvenirs of trips, pictures of one’s children, or model airplanes. What do you collect and why? It would be a lot less costly to hoard the collectible glass figurines catalogue than the dolphins or clowns themselves.
Talking of unusual psychological needs, what about the need to label the people who collect things? An archtophilist collects teddy bears, a deltiologist collects postcards, a numismatist collects coins, a vecturist collects subway tokens and a clock collector is a horologist. Freud of course had a theory to explain why we collect things. He postulated that collecting links back to the time of toilet training. Personally I prefer to think about the lighter side of collecting Read more
